Over the past 18 months, the Plummer-Worley School District has been working hard to address an area that needed substantial development in our school programming, Preparing students for the workforce. In concert with community input, the district initiated a program called Pathways. Pathways is a unique program allowing students to experience and prepare for career and academic options while completing their high school requirements.

Pathways starts in middle school when students are given the opportunity to experience six individual paths highlighting post-graduation career and academic options. Students select a path to pursue their freshman year and spend their junior and senior years taking courses for that path. Courses allow students to work in and out of the classroom, providing book knowledge and hands-on experience in their selected field.

Built with community and industry needs in mind, students will graduate with the skills they need to immediately begin working in their selected field or pursuing their academic next steps after graduation. Students in Pathways can choose from one of six individual Paths to pursue including: Land & Resources, Trades & Industries, Education & Development, Media Technology, Health Professions and Dual Enrollment.

We will be sending/posting a series of communications to you what Pathways is and the opportunities students will be presented. We hope these communications will be informative and give you ways to contact us with more information.
