Certificated Applicants:  If you are interested in submitting an application packet, please do so at your earliest opportunity. A completed certificated (teaching) packet consists of a certificated application, cover letter, resume, three letters of recommendation, copies of all transcripts, verification of HQT status (Praxis scores or equivalent), Release of Information (see "Application Forms"), and a copy of your current education credential.

Classified Applicants:  A completed classified packet consists of a completed classified application, cover letter, resume, Release of Information, and for a paraprofessional position, proof of HQT status.  Bus Drivers need to also complete a Bus Driver Application.

Coaching Applicants:  A completed coaching packet consists of a completed extra-curricular application, a cover letter, resume, and a copy of any relevant certificates, CPR cards, etc.

Salary Range:  The current salary  ranges from $34,600 to $55,568 for certificated staff; $7.96 per hour to $27.62 (depending on position) per hour for classified staff; competitive benefits package included for all employees working 20+ hours per week). 

Student Loan ForgivenessThe district is listed in the federal loan cancellation directory and some or all of a teacher's student loans may be forgiving, depending on the type of loan you took out.  Employees should contact their loan provider/servicer for further information.

Employment Vacancies

Visit us at the University of Montana's 33rd Annual Educator's Career Fair in Missoula on April 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Teaching applicants must submit all required materials as listed above for certificated applicants. 

Elementary Principal   The Board of Trustees is accepting applications for the position of Elementary Principal.  The district desires a candidate with a clear ability to enhance student achievement, maintain a positive school climate, promote teamwork, and positive community relationships.  The candidate will be expected to have successful elementary classroom teaching experience, administrative or supervisory experience in instructional leadership-related positions, responsibility for building-wide administrative duties, and/or public school administration.  While not all of these qualities may be present, the successful candidate will have demonstrated a pattern of professional advancement that clearly indicates effective leadership.  Application requirements are outlined on the Vacancy Announcement below.  This position will remain open until the district has selected the best candidate for our district.

2018-19 Teaching Positions    The district is accepting applications for the following positions for 2018-19:

Counselor 7-12

PE/Health  7-12

English 7-12

English/Spanish 7-12

Elementary K-6

Special Education K-12

 Interested persons should submit a certificated application, copies of all college or university transcripts, Education Credential, 3 letters of recommendation, copy of Praxis scores, Release of Information form, resume, and cover letter. BUS DRIVERS NEEDED   The district is actively seeking bus drivers.  Will provide training.  Please call Bob Curley at 208-582-0057 for details. 



Substitutes are needed in all areas of the district, to include classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, food service staff, custodians, and office staff.  If you are interested in working as a substitute, please contact Kathy Sperber at (208)  686-1621.

Non-Certificated Substitutes
If you love working with kids and enjoy a flexible schedule, contact Kathy Sperber to get on the sub list! Non-certificated substitutes are paid competitively and given their choice of assignments. Give Kathy a call at (208) 686-2112 today.
Certificated Substitutes
If you have an education credential in Idaho or another state, you can earn $90 per day (more than any other district in North Idaho) as a substitute teacher in our district. Our substitutes enjoy small class sizes, proactive administrative support, and professional co-workers. For more information, please contact Kathy Sperber at (208)686-2112.  After 10 days in the same continuous position, certificated substitutes are paid the appropriate wage on the certificated salary schedule.
School Bus Drivers
Substitute bus drivers are needed on a regular basis for routes and activity trips. Class A CDL with proper endorsements are required. Training is available.

Bus drivers are paid on a competitive scale depending on experience. Substitute drivers are also eligible for activity trips.
