Salary Range:  $30,747 to $49,925; competitive benefits package included for all employees working 20+ hours per week).

Experienced certificated staff are allowed to credit for ALL K-12 accredited experience on the salary schedule.

Food Service Kitchen Helper

This person is an integral part of the district's food service personnel classified staff and will assist with food preparation and cleaning under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor.  Position closes when filled.

One-on-One Aide

A one-on-one aide is needed for a special needs male student.  The successful candidate will be patient and supportive, and able to work well with students and adults.  Duties may include personal hygiene, assisting during transportation and water therapy, as well as personal and life skills.  Some training provided.  Employee must be able to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds.

All persons hired for this position must have an Associates Degree,  two years equivalent post-secondary instruction, or be able to pass the Idaho paraprofessional competency exam prior to hire.  Applicants must submit a district application, cover letter, and resumé.

Academic and Climate Coach

The Academic and School Climate Coach will assist the district and building leadership teams in improving the overall climate of schools and quality of education provided to students.  Employee will assist low performing schools in achieving performance goals in all core subjects and is expected to provide expertise in instructional practices in focus areas.  Staff member will also teach secondary courses on a part-time basis each day and must meet HQT requirements for assigned courses.

Community Connection Coordinator

 Community Connection Coordinator will provide leadership and direction in the formation and implementation of plans for building parent and community engagement, secure community confidence and support for the district and its programs, promote an atmosphere of cooperation between the district and the community and develop real and meaningful personal interactions among school personnel, parents, and other stakeholders.  The Coordinator will also be required to teach middle school language arts on a part-time basis daily.  This position is grant funded and continuation is contingent upon receipt of the grant on an annual basis. Athletic Director

The Athletic Director will be responsible for the organization and operation of the district athletic program within the framework of the existing policies and procedures of the district, rules and procedures of the Idaho High School Activities Association, and the laws of the State of Idaho, and the United States of America.  The Athletic Director shall use leadership, supervision,and administrative skills to facilitate programs that provide young people with worthwhile learning experiences, physical training, and examples of good sportsmanship and character.

Success Center Assistant

PWSD is seeking a Success Center (after school) Program Assistant to assist the director of the After School program for school age children in conjunction with the 21st Century grant.  Some evenings and weekends are required for family nights and special activities.  Position begins Fall, 2010.  Ability to work well with children and strong technology background a must.

Certificated Subs

If you have a current education credential in Idaho or another state, you can earn $90 per day (more than any other district in North Idaho) as a substitute teacher in our district.  Our substitutes enjoy small class sizes, proactive administrative support, and professional co-workers.  For more information, please contact Kathy Sperber at (208) 686-2112.

 

School Bus Drivers

Substitute bus drivers are needed on a regular basis for routes and activity trips.  Class A CDL with proper endorsements are required.  Training is available.

Bus drivers are paid on a competitive scale depending on experience.  Substitute drivers are also eligible for activity trips.
